Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Velox mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Tomasz Gabrysiak ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Velox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Velox. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You can sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your device and authentication credentials secure. Notify us at hello@usevelox.app immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not create accounts for others without their permission, use automated means to create accounts, or share a single account among multiple people.

3. Free and Premium plans

Velox is free to download and use with a Free plan that includes:

A Premium subscription unlocks additional features including unlimited bikes, 16+ component types, multi-dimensional tracking (km, hours, days, rides), custom component names and intervals, service cost tracking, and Strava sync. Feature availability may change over time — we will notify you before removing a feature included in your active subscription.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Premium subscriptions are sold exclusively through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) using in-app purchase. Billing, renewals, and refunds are governed by the policies of the platform through which you subscribed:

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. We do not issue refunds directly — all refund requests must be directed to the relevant platform (Apple or Google).

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If we increase the price of your active subscription, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and you will have the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into Velox (bikes, components, rides, service records). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party integrations

Velox integrates with third-party services including Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Strava, RevenueCat, Expo Push, PostHog, and Sentry. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third parties' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the conduct of these third parties.

PostHog — we use PostHog for product analytics and session recordings to understand app usage and improve the product. Data is processed on PostHog EU Cloud (EU servers). See our Privacy Policy for details.

Sentry — we use Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring to maintain app stability. Data is processed on Sentry EU region (EU servers). No personal identifiers are attached to crash reports. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Strava integration is optional. Connecting and disconnecting Strava is entirely within your control via Settings.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep Velox available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. We will try to provide advance notice for planned downtime where possible.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Velox is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service is error-free, that service interval recommendations are accurate for your specific equipment or use case, or that relying on Velox will prevent component failure or damage. You are responsible for verifying service needs and for the condition of your equipment.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any loss of data, equipment damage, or injury — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or €10 if you have not made any payments).

11. Termination

You may stop using Velox and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
